BlairMartin 12-07-2002, 08:29 PM The ghosting is clearly noticeable. Whether it's annoying depends on what you're doing. The only operation where it's slightly annoying to me is when I'm selecting text by dragging the stylus across a line of text. The highlight darkens for a fraction of a second after the stylus passes across. I can live with it, but it isn't perfect. On the other hand, if one were using an application where rapid user interaction was required — like a game — the ghosting would be a serious drawback. There is a flickering of the cursor between each charactor. Is this normal or do I have a bad unit? Palm Cow 12-16-2002, 08:16 PM BY: cshall By ghosting, does this refer to the lag time when I use graffiti? By "ghosting," I believe that THEY, the complainers, are complaining about, or mean, that the screen has a slow refresh rate. BY: cshall do I have a bad unit? It probably isn't a bad unit, but you may want it checked out. I think that SONY took out the video-chip (or something like that) to make it cheaper, but I doubt they would put out an un-reasonably bad unit. cliemea 12-16-2002, 09:33 PM sony has been progressivly taking stuff out of their electronics to cut back on price for them, but they still charge the same price for them- what a rip!
