My iPOD recently decided to kill itself, so I was thinking instead of buying a new one to use my iPAQ rx1950 as an mp3 player. I am assuming I would have to upgrade the battery and get a 4GB SD card, but I am wondering if it's even worth it. I would need the battery life to at least last for 2 hours of continuos music play.
OR should I just give in and buy a new iPOD.

Any input/opinions would be GREATLY appreciated.

You will definitely need sd card (perhaps two 2gb sd cards will be much cheaper than one 4gb card) but i don't think you'll need extended battery. With wifi and bluetooth turn off and the screen also turns off while playing music through headphone, you should be able to get more than 3 hours easily.
