Hi

I am thinking of getting an IPAQ rx1950? What comments do you guys have about this device? Is it worth getting?

What about WM5? How stable is it? How easy is it to use? What add-on software would you recommend?

I would like to use this (http://www.shopping.hp.com/webapp/shopping/product_detail.do?category=ipaq_accessories&subcat1=6900&catLevel=4&storeName=accessories&aoid=32861&product_code=FA118A%23ABA&landing=computer&jumpid=reg_R1002_USEN) keyboard with it. Does anybody know if it will work?

Regards

Patrick

It's really depended on what you want to do with the pda. rx1950 is designed toward entry level non-power users. The speed and memory are on the low side. It is however very small and thin. It's also depended on how much it costs for you to buy. Occasionally Dell has discount on its axim that will make it more attractive in term of price and features.
The stability question and 3rd party software are also depended on what you want to do with it.

The keyboard should work, i see it's listed on its accessories page

Hi AnswerDude

Many thanks for your reply. I read various reviews about the rx1950 and I am leaning more and more towards it.

I don't consider myself a power-user so I guess it will do everything I want that is PIM stuff, MP3 playback and some games (mainly puzzles).

One reviewer managed to get 16 apps to running at once and the device was still responsive. Is this realistic in your experience? Of course, it all depends on the type of apps and how much of the limited resources they use.

Hi

I found this (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/PDA-keyboard-for-iPAQ-3600-3630-3660-3700-3760-Targus_W0QQitemZ180090947805QQihZ008QQcategoryZ486 76QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem) keyboard on eBay. Will it work with an rx1750? Seems to me would because the connectors are the same but I am not sure and would appreciate your thoughts.

Regards

Patrick

Many thanks AnswerDude!!! Just wondering now if there is any software that will allow me to use the D-Pad as a mouse to guide a pointer and select screen objects.
