Where is the today menu located. The file structure that is. I have a bad money 2003 link and I want to replace it.

I know the start menu is in the windows directory, but I can't find the today menu. Does a file stucture exist for it? Is there any other way of fixing this broken link. I have unchecked and checked money and it is still bad. I have checked and unchecked the accounts, still bad. Exact message when I click on the link is:

Error opening the shortcut or locating the target filename.

When I go to the startmenu the program fires off just fine and is fully functional. Help! Thanks!

Links in the start menu are physically located in \windows\start menu\programs or \windows\start menu (if the link is placed in \windows\start menu it cannot be turned off by the Menus applet).

Delete or replace the link in one of the above locations (or edit the target location of the existing link if you have an enhanced file explorer program).

Maybe I don't understand you. I am talking about the menu that appears when you first start the IPAQ, not the start menu or the programs group within the start menu.

The menu that has the date, owner, calender,...etc. What is the location of that directory? I know you can check and uncheck certain apps within it.

Oh. Those item are registry entries. The most control you have over them is via the Settings, About appet, the Settings, Owner Information applet, and Today, Settings applet. These programs allow you to modify user specific information. If you are using Dashboard, then this is another place where this information may be activated or deactivated.

Information not found in these areas should not be manipulated (though they may be available using a registry editor).
