Hi...Wonder if anyone can help me. suddenly some of my trusted mobile websites are saying I must "update my browser",,,,but as everything else is working fine I have been loathed to update but now must move into 2007 and make this change!

I am running a Ipax 3715 with windows 2003 second edition and active sync version 3.7.1.

Would upgrading to the newer version of active synce upgrade my browser does anyone know and if I upgrade will everything that currently works still work with a newer active sync?

Thanks for any advice!:)

The PIE version on your device is tied to the WM OS version. Updating ActiveSync does not make any changes on your device. Most likely the web sites are receiving the identifying info from PIE and reading it as an old version of desktop IE. Many tweaking apps let you change this so PIE tells sites that it is IE 6. This does not change PIE's actual functionality, so if the issue involves function limitations, this won't solve the problem. You may need to try an alternate browser like Minimo or Webby (both free), or NetFront or Opera (both commercial).
