Currently, I am in the market for either the i730 or the 6700. Basically what it boils down to is I'm tired of carrying a PDA (which is severely outdated) and cell phone around when I can have one device that does it all. I'm having a hard time deciding on which one would be better and I'm having a hard time getting any decent feedback. Part of the problem is that I don't seem to have the same priorities as many smartphone owners/shoppers.

What I'm definitely using it for (and what I'm using my current pda for), in addition to phone use:
Word Processing (keypad use is the question, which works better, also how well does the screen pick up on writing)
Spreadsheet
Document Viewing (either in pda, html, or doc format)
MP3 playback
Calendar

What I don't do now, but probably will:
E-mail
video playback
PDA (file) format with interactive fields (my current PDA barely handles PDAs (file) now)
Gaming (this one is a far stretch, barely worth mentioning. EDIT: something simple to keep me awake at seminars for work)

What I'm rather not caring about:
Wireless internet (beyond e-mail)

What's turning me off about the XV 6700:
It's made by audiovox, and I've always been a bit of a cell phone snob so I'm a little irked by going with this company as far as quality.
Only handles mini-SD cards (I don't want to have to buy these too instead of my SD cards, it's bad enough I have useless cf cards too).
Useability of keypad (how good is it one handed?)
Lots of reports about the poor visibility of the screen (I am ultimately an outdoors person)

What's turning me off about the i730:
Size of the keypad
No camera (a very very very small issue, I barely use the one on my phone now, but every 6 months or so it comes in handy)

I will admit that I'm leaning more towards the i730, but I've yet to find a helpful sales associate in this matter who can address these issues. I consider myself an aspiring writer, I'm attending grad school (currently working on my thesis), and working full time as a substance abuse counselor (which this alone gives me a hectic schedule with running evening meetings, going to training seminars, institutional meetings, etc). This is where the PDA comes into play, not so much for the web. Like I said I'm just tired of carrying both of them around. The i730 seems like it would be a bit easier to use phyiscally (considering I may be doing a good amount of typing/writing at one time), added with the reliability of Samsung; this is why I'm leaning towards this.

I realize both these units are on their way out, but I'm not looking to pony up the big bucks for the news models, I'm in grad school after all.
Please any and all suggestions are appreciated.
