Invalid Pocket PC Program

I have an iPAQ 3835, and I have tried many, many times to add software to it. EVERY TIME I try to start a program that I have uploaded to it, it says that it is an invalid pocket pc program. I am really aggrivated with this! Could someone let me know what I am doing wrong?

I'm sure your aware that most (if not all) installation programs are executed on your desktop PC and not your pocket PC and installed during an ActiveSync session.

The only exception is native CE .CAB files which can be executed on your pocket PC.
