Hope anybody can help! I just purchased a CLIE PEG-SJ30 and
can't get it going. Loading the software in my pc was no problem
(HP--Athlon-WinME) or so I thought. I am unable to do the first
hotsync, since my computer will not recognize the new hardware.
I have tried the 2 USB ports using a digital camera, so the ports
are recognized. I was on with Sony support for about an hour
trying various things. All startup programs were off as asked, etc.
I am not exactly a computer geek, but I am not a total novice,
either. I have even taken it back to the place of purchase, and
the software was loaded and sync was ok there, so the unit is ok.
My computer just freezes when trying the procedure, at the
"Updating Hardware Database" point. Any help or ideas will be
appreciated.......Thanks
