iPAQ RW6828 No Sound!

hi,

i'm having some problem with my ipaq rw6828. when the headset is not connected, i can't hear any sounds. when using it to call, i can't hear anything. when receiving calls, i can hear it ringing but i can't hear the calling party and he also cannot hear me answering his call. but with the headset connected, everything seems to be working fine..

i plugged in the headset and unplugged it out a few times, but still it doesn't work. soft-reset doesn't also solved the problem.

btw, i haven't installed any software lately.


any ideas?? pls help!

It is possible that the connector inside the headset jack is stuck when you insert the headset and cause the unit to behave as if the headset is still connected and mute. Try insert the headset and gently wiggle the headset jack, perhaps the connector will fix itself, Otherwise the unit needs repair.
