My HotSync connection is not recognized between my Tungsten/E2 and my DELL Desktop PC with Windows XP SP2. I have gone to the PALM site, and to a couple of other independant sites with software (found by Google), and have downloaded the PalmDesktop w/HotSync nearly 6 times in the past day, but each time I hit the HotSync button, I get a message on my Tungsten/E2 that it cannot find PalmDesktop on the PC.

Also, after each download to the PC, and I to the UnZip and Install, an error says that there is a damaged file.

So, I don't know if PALM's file on the Internet is bad, or what, but I am guessing I can get past this "bad/damaged file" by using a CD. But I cannot find a site where it can be ordered, or a phone number where I can call and order one. Any ideas? Please HELP. THANKs! sjenkins

Cut it from another website, Heather Cullen of Palm originally posted it, so the kudos goes to her :)

Found the file: http://kb.palmone.com/SRVS/CGI-BIN/W...case=obj(38759)

This was the right site to download the PalmDesktop file, which includes the HotSync manager.

And thanks to Heather Cullen of Palm, for her original posting.

I sure appreciate your help to a stranger.
