Hello,

I am new here and looking to possibly buy a new phone/PDA to replace my existing Palm IIIxe and SonyEricsson W810. I am not sure where to start because there are multiple questions and issues involved. I am considering the Palm Treo 750, the Nokia E61 or E62, and one of the smaller Blackberries.

The Palm looks nice because it would work internationally on UMTS and in my area on GSM 850/1900 on my T-Mobile plan. The biggest question and possible deal breaker with that one: is it possible to get a quadband GSM/UMTS verion that runs on a Palm OS platform? Windows mobile is not going to happen...

In other words: if I buy the Windows version could I then convert it to Palm OS?

Or is there any other quadband/3G/Wifi Treo that comes with Palm OS? Does not have to be the latest model as long as it works.

The WM Treos can't run Palm OS, but they can run an emulator called StyleTap that will run most Palm apps (those that don't require synchronization).
