I have been searching the past forums to get a better sync with 'Outlook' (Win 98 and 5mx) and saw the following to help sync inbox etc. on the Psions e-mail program tothe same folders on outlook.

"check the properties on the synchronisation General tab Advanced button to ensure it's set to Inbox, Outbox, Drafts & Sent, rather than Inbox only."
Where is this general tab?? Its probably so obvious I cant see for looking!! I assume that the pcmails in outbox will then transfer across also. Thanks Nigel

"check the properties on the synchronisation General tab Advanced button to ensure it's set to Inbox, Outbox, Drafts & Sent, rather than Inbox only."

Where is this general tab??
Launch PsiWin and double click "Psion Synchronizer". In the Wizard, click 'Email' and select Microsoft Outlook. Click 'Next' and you should see a dialog to select Profiles. If this shows Outlook, click 'Next'. You should now see a "General" dialog box with an "Advanced" button. Click the "Advanced" button and, in the new dialog box, there is an option to select Inbox only or Inbox, Outbox, Drafts & Sent

thank you it was staring me in the face, did not realise i had to create a new type of synchonisation for email and assumed it was part of exsisting one. Why does the pcmail in the outbox not go over to the outbox on Outlook? Does it matter what account name you put in the wizard ( it gave me one by default). Thanks you Nigel

Why does the pcmail in the outbox not go over to the outbox on Outlook? It should be transferred across when you 'sync' but, as I don't use Outlook, I've only tried it as a test.
Does it matter what account name you put in the wizard ( it gave me one by default) I wouldn't have though the name was significant unless you had more than one configuration (....don't ask!)

Does the pcmail have to be in the draft folder or outbox to go over, any way not too much of a problem as the rest went over and that is what I wanted. Have 53 mesages (now) in my Psion local folder can these be stored some where? ie. do I make an extra folder some where on Psion local in mail. I had problems in the past with my computer and lost some messages and would like to keep certain ones on my 'trusty' psion as a Back up.

Pcmail in draft goes over to draft on outlook (slowly he begins to lose it and answers his own threads). Mike what do you if you do sync to????

Have 53 mesages (now) in my Psion local folder can these be stored some where? ie. do I make an extra folder some where on Psion local in mail Within the Email application, you can create a new 'Folder' from the 'Local' level or as a sub-folder of 'Inbox'. Then either Copy & Paste or Cut & Paste messages to the new folder.
Mike what do you if you do sync to???? I don't use any synchronization at all. My Psions have always been used as "stand alone" devices. When I retrieve mail, the original remains on the server. When I send mail, I send a copy to myself and, with Eudora on the PC, I can transfer this message from my Inbox to my Outbox and it then appears as a normal outgoing message (though it appears as sendable rather than sent in the PC).
