Clie PEGNR70V and Nokia 8890 dialup

New to forum here...having trouble getting Clie to log on to Compuserve using Nokia 8890 infrared. Gets as far as requesting password then dissconnects. Can anyone help? Is it a Compuserve issue? I use Compuserve because it has dialups in Europe and Australia.

While I have no experience of the 'Clie', I do have a little experience of CompuServe.

Firstly, it is not possible to use a CS2000 account with a PDA as this requires proprietary software only available for a PC (and a Mac?). You need to have a CompuServe "Classic" account, the one with a Numerical ID as your Username.

Secondly, you must use a script to log on to CompuServe "Classic", even with a PC. Does the 'Clie' support the use of scripts in its logon procedure, as it is extremely rare to need a logon script with ISPs these days?

Thanks, Mike. Yes, the Clie supports the script, and I am using Compuserve Classic. I got it all to work, but the connections are iffy, at best. I think that's because the IR port is so slow. But I can send and receive my email now. Thanks!
