Someone knows anything about a external USB drive

If our Zire or Palm has a miniUSB port, none has invented a external USB drive to connect to the PALM?

It this possible? (It would be a good idea, no?):confused:

The Palm's OS isn't written to allow it to be a "USB host," unfortunately. It's just a "USB device," like a scanner or joystick.

That is what i want really badly! I don't understand why they cna't just make something really quick!

It is just not that easy.

USB ports are either Host or Device both in hardware and software definition.

There is a specification called USB-on-the-go that will allow both types of opperation.
Sony just anounced that they will be using it on a new Clie.

But it is new hardware and software. This is not a feature that will show up in a hack or patch.
