Yes you can. But, it can only be done by replacing the internal ROM chip with the very rare "upgrade" one released by Sharp in 1999 or so, and no longer available from Sharp. This chip replaces the small circuit board in your Mobilon with one running Windows CE 2.11 (sometimes called H/PC Pro for Handheld PC Pro). There is no other way to upgrade the OS. Once very rarely, you might see a 2.11 ROM chip on eBay. You would more likely find a HC-4600 with the updated ROM already installed on eBay, but still rarely. You might look at another site called "HPC Factor" for a group of very dedicated handheld pc users which can give advice on other options to make your HC-4600 more functional even with CE 2.0. For example, there is an alternative email program that allows smtp authentication, restoring the CE 2.0's ability to send POP email! Good luck!
