What Do I Need?

Hey, I was given this Tungsten E PDA by a reletive who no longer needed it, but, all they gave me was the PDA, and the stylus. No charger or anything. what do I need to use it, and where could I find it? Obviously, I will need a charger, but is there anything else, like software for my comp or anything that I need. finally, once I get it to work, is there anywhere online where I could download instructions, or could one of you guys tell me how to use basic things on it?

I went to Palms website. I downloaded the "handbook" for the Tungsten E. from what I read, I need a Hotsync cable, a charger, and some software that comes with it. It seems that I could buy this:http://store.palm.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2165159&cp&keywords=tungsten+E+Charger&searchId=21070819672&parentPage=search for both charging, and for connecting to the comp. Is that right?
In the handbook it says that the software can be found online, where can I find it?

I used to have a Tungsten E. Great device. Upgraded to a TX because I needed more power, longer screen, and the built-in Wifi. But I loved my Tungsten while I had it.

To make it work all you need is the Palm Desktop software (free download at Palm.com) and a USB cable with a 5-pin mini B plug on one end. It is the one that looks like a Pizza Hut roof when looking at the plug. This cable will charge and sinc the Palm to the computer.
The software is available at Palm.com. Go to http://www.palm.com/us/support/tungstene/ and select Download Palm Desktop software link. Install it and you are set.

A note about the charger; charging through the USB is called "trickle charging." It take a little longer than charging with a dedicated AC adapter, but I wouldn't know where to begin to look one, aside from your friend.

Yes, that will work fine. It has a second plug that goes into the charger port, which will get around the "trickle charge" issue. I trickle charge my TX, but using the power port instead of the USB is all around the best option. And for that price, I would say go for it. You can use this to charge and sinc your Palm.

PS. I didn't notice that second post before. Oops. All the women in my life (mom, girlfriend, and sister) complain about me not noticing things all the time. :)
