Possible to convert data?

Last week, I purchased a Sony Clié NR70. For the last five years, I have used a Sharp Wizard OZ-5500 that I have backed up to my laptop with RuppLynx 4.0. Is there anyway I can download the data from my laptop to the Clié? Thanks.

IMPORTANT: If Palm Desktop for Sony software is installed without uninstalling a previous version of Palm Desktop, the installation will fail.

Synchronize the old PalmTM device once to backup all data.
On the computer desktop, click the Start button, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel.
In the Control Panel window, click the Add/Remove Programs icon.
In the Add/Remove Programs Properties window, click to select Palm Desktop from the list of applications.
Click the Add/Remove button.
NOTE: Follow any on-screen instructions for proper removal of the old PalmTM Desktop software.

Using Microsoft® Windows® Explorer, locate the PalmTM Desktop folder and copy the remaining user folders to a temporary location.
Delete the old PalmTM Desktop folder.
IMPORTANT: If all software from the Visor installation is not completely removed, USB will not be supported and the handheld will not synchronize.

Insert the PalmTM Desktop for CLIÉ CD into the computer CD/DVD drive.
On the Installation CD-ROM screen, click Install Palm Desktop for CLIÉ.
In the Welcome window, click the Next button.
In the Software License Agreement window, click the Yes button.
In the Setup Type window, click the Next button.
In the Create User Account window, enter a user name and then click the Next button.
NOTE: If a Macro installation error dialog box appears, click the Next button.

In the Warning dialog box, click the OK button.
In the Perform Mail Setup? window, click the Yes button.
In the Mail Setup window, click the down arrow to select the desired e-mail application.
Click the Next button.
NOTES:

If a Mail Setup dialog box appears advising no profile is configured for use with the selected application, click the No button to select another program or the Yes button to create a profile.
If a message appears indicating that Messaging Application Programming Interface (MAPI) must be configured, follow the on-screen instructions to synchronize the e-mail application.

Click the Next button.
In the Mail Setup dialog box, click the OK button.
In the Setup Complete window, click the Finish button.
In the Install CD-ROM window, click Exit.
Copy the user folders from the temporary location to the new Sony Palm Desktop location. The default location is C:\Program Files\ Sony Handheld.
NOTE: If dialog box appears indicating that a duplicate folder or directory already exists, click the Yes to All button to proceed.

Perform a HotSync® operation to transfer all user data.

I think this will work.

hello avijohn- quick question on transfers-- is this sort ofprocedure necssary to trasnfer apps and data from a Palm V to a Palm m515? I have just upgrade and am wondering a a transfer as I have various apps, such as Tealmaster and AvantGo and Chapura pro outlook that are set up on my V and need to be on my 515
