Palm Sync

I have been updating and organizing my address book on my desktop- and will be syncing it with my palm pilot for the first time.
My question is..
Will the information currently on my palm pilot be erased and replaced with the updated desktop address book?

My fear is..
Loosing the information I have added to my handheld this month that I haven't put into the desktop address book.

Is the software smart enough to keep information that isn't duplicated- while just replacing the updated information?

Any advise would be appreciated. Thanks!

Sync will look for changes on both devices and update the database from both devices. You will add contacts to each device without overwriting existing data. That's what SYNC is all about.
