Having had a 3870 for a couple of weeks now, I decided to try and set up Bluetooth with my T39. However I get the following errors and can't get any further :
When I try to turn bluetooth radio on :
Bluetooth Security Manager, Unable to load bluetooth stack
When I try to open Blutooth Manger :
Bluetooth Manager, Bluetooth functionality turned off, application cannot be opened
If I open Bluetooth stauts, the current connections box is blank.
ANy ideas ?

assuming the software was loaded properly, have you tried a soft reset? or turning on and off the unit? something similar happened to me the other day ( i just bought an iPAQ too) and literally turning it on and off fixed it....GL....Barry

I have tried turning on/of and a soft reset, still problem persists.
Beginers questions, but how can I verify that the bluetooth software is installed correctly and how can I re-install ?

i am new also, having just bought my 1st PDA the day i replied to you...check your BT mgr. settings in both the PDA, and your main computer to check that things are all installed properly. (ie- your pda start menu should have "BT mgr." in the list. then your BT hardware and menus in your main computer should be checked out. if all your settings, etc.. match, try an uninstall and reinstall. as i am new here, and with a pda too, i may not be the most helpful guy, but i find places like this a great source of info. GL! Barry.

My problem is that I cant open Bluetooth manager because it tells me that Bluetooth functionality is turned off. How can I re-install bluetooth.
I want to connect to mobile phone, but I cant even test iof this is functioning becuase I cant turn bluetooth on on the IPAQ. And I can't find anyway of resetting bluetooth

1- if u open the start menu, is BT mgr. there? 2- if you click on PROGRAMS, is it there? 3- very bottom right hand corner of your pda, is the BT icon there? (it looks like 2 little triangles pointing to the right) check ALL of these things out....in order to uninstall, i THINK u might have to uninstall from your host computer. i am not 100% sure though. i have walked thru all these things on my ipaq.... let me know back on these things...barry.
