Has anyone tried a SD Card biger then 2 gig. I know Garmin states up to one gig. I run a 2 gig fine. Almost. On keeping large (1gig) collections of MP3's on the card, the unit only sees a few at a time. I have to have it search the card to keep the unit going though the collection. No big deal.

But has anyone tried a 4 Gig?? Card prices are getting so cheep. I would love to be abile to run a 4 or 8 gig!

Thanks

Do a search and you will find that there is a way to use 4 GB cards in the iQue 3600.

I did the search and read the posts... Found nothing directly related to using a 4 gig card

Well, maybe I'm having a small problem with mentalpause. I can't find it either, but I'm sure someone created a patch that would allow use of a 4 GB card in the iQue 3600. Someone with a better memory than me needs to jump in here.

I also recall a patch being available to make a 4 gig card work but can't find the thread. One word of caution if attempting to use a 4 gig card. Should you need to perform a hard reset or the iQue's internal memory gets wiped out the 4 gig card will be useless because the patch is needed to access the card. So even having a backup program installed on the iQue won't help restore your data should you be out in the field no where near a computer to hotsync. If you've been using the iQue long enough you've probably experienced a complete data loss at some time.

Do a Google search for "iQue 3600 4 gig". That will lead you to the "other" forum.
