I have an M505 - the display is shifted down about an inch, but it responds to screen taps as if the display was correct. For example, the main application screen shows all of the icons and the menu bar starting about halfway down the display, but you have to tap in the very upper right corner of the screen to get the menu to drop down. I have done a hard reset, but even then the display is shifted down.

Any ideas?

Sounds like the display controller is confused.

Try a Soft Reset:

If that doesn't work, you might have to do a Hard Reset :(

Thanks for the advice, but I've already done both a soft and hard reset, to no avail.

oops, I read your first post too fast.

I wonder if the display registers work like the USB registers, if so they can only be reset if power is completely removed from the motherboard. Much like the cure for SUDS (can't HotSync), you would have to:
1) completely drain the battery or
2) open the unit and unplug the battery.

Is it still under warranty? If not, I would suggest item 2. It is faster, and less harmful to the battery.
