Wireless Troubleshooting for Toshiba Pocket PC

I have the old E750 with Pocket PC 2003. Put it away for years but it could connect to the internet then. I've recently brought it out and tried to connect through a home DSL wireless router. This time I've configured the router to include the MAC address of the PDA. The device can see the wirelesss network but cannot connect. My only error message is the "X" at the top of the PDA display. Cannot remember what the "X" specifically means. Advice sought.

In Networks you have to choose "My Work Network" along with "This network connects to the Internet". And select "Work" for Network Card.
