people;
is there any way to connect a parrallel (as opposed to USB) printer to a psion for printing? what kind of patch cable would one need to make in order co connect a 9 pin rs 232 cable to a parralel cable (remember, this is the exact opposite of the big com ports)?
cheers and many thanks

Psion used to sell the "Parallel Printer Link" for printing directly to a printer with a centronics connector. This was a cable with the Honda connector to go into the Psion's RS232 serial port (except for the Revo/Mako) and an oversized centronics connector which contained a 9V battery and the serial to parallel conversion electronics.

Because this solution was unsuitable for the Revo, an IR pod was introduced which connects to the printer allowing printing from the Psion by IR.

What you cannot do is to connect directly to a printer with the Revo's (Mako's) docking cable and a pile of adapters to change it to a centronics connector to fit the printer's port!

I don't know about using a rs232 for printing, but I have an extra infrared printer link if you are interested.
