I just got a Targus Pa765 thumb keyboard add on for my Pa;m m500. It's compact, it silver like my Palm but has no directions on how to access the numbers on the top row. As I use my Palm to run a database would be very nice to have the use of the numbers to input things like room numbers and such. Anyone have one of these and if so would you be kind enough to reply as to how to get to the numbers? Please...

there should be some kind of shift or secondary function key.
I don't have one, but you should be able to find the manual or support online

On the web site it shows the same manual as I got with the unit. And to top it all off, the driver on the cd that comes with it is the wrong one. I downloaded the right drivers and now the extended functions such as the 4 way button at the bottom of the thumb board works. As for the way to access the numbers it is:
Fn key then hold own the cap/num key and strike any number. after that the numbers are locked on till you strike the cap/num key again.
But i find that I can type faster with the stylus than the board. What a waste of 40 bucks. It now sits in the same drawer as my Iomega zip drive.
But thanks any way.
Mod please close out this thread.

Generally we don't close threads unless they are inane or contain something illegal/offensive. Sorry to here about your thumboard, they can be usefull, and prevent wear on the screen, but they are cumbersome and not as fast as a regular keyboard. Try a fold out keyboard, wirless is the best, they are a real joy:D

See Input Hardware and Software Advice (http://www.pdastreet.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=8147) for a discussion of other screen-based keyboards including the Fitalystamp.
