Connecting to the Internet whilst using MS ActiveSync

We've just downloaded a tool which lets you demonstrate your PDA screen on a PC screen. It uses MS Active Sync to do this. Unfortunately the PDA will not connect to the internet whilst using connected. I'm not sure if it's ActiveSync or the PDA software blocking access. We are using the SPV M600.

Does anyone know if it is possible to get around this, or if there is other software that would allow it?
