Connection with the desktop cant be established

This appears when I try to hot sync. Was ok last time ????

Go to the front panel.
Tap on Hot Sync icon.
Select Local.
Below the Hot Sync icon, tap the down arrow.
Select Cradle/Cable.
You should be set to go.

Make sure Local Serial is enabled. If these tips don't work, reboot the PC and try again.

In order to sync my palm after a reboot, I find I have to 'uninstall' the serial port, then search for new hardware and allow the system to reinstall the serial port. From that point until I reboot the computer, the cradle and palm will sync with no further problems.
