rx3115 files always corrupted

i was putting a bunch of songs on my ipaq and i have a 4gb card whats the max supported size does anyone know? seems like soon as i get 300mb on the card it wont work anymore. all the files after that are corrupted. if i draw something in paint and save it to my card the file is there but no image when i open it. i just bought the sd card like last month. its a 150x. should i maybe partition the card 2gb and 2gb or is my card a piece of crap maybe?

How do you put files on your storage card? Are you using activesync? You should copy files using usb card reader. And you can try using these tools to diagnose and fix your card;

i connect with active sync 4.5 then just copy them over to the card. sometimes they will play most of the time they are corrupted. i cant copy anything from the internal memory to the sd card it says it cant do it. im using pocket mechanic right now doin a surface scan its at 30% its been goin for about an hour now. thanks for the links im goin to check them out now.
also sometimes when i copy something it will create a folder that i can not delete with odd characters and little boxes.

pocket mechanic finally finished it says failed reading from sectors then it has a number there are alot of these. what does it all mean?

I'm not sure 4GB SD cards are officially supported by the rx3715 so there is no guarantee your device will actually read a card that size. The best thing you can do it get yourself a card reader and test the card using your PC. As an added bonus, the card reader will make transfering files to/from the card much faster than using ActiveSync.

You should be able to use the whole 4gb, you may want to reformat the card (use FAT32) with either Pocket Mechanic or desktop if you already have usb card reader. If after reformatting it the problem still occurs then that card may have problem.

i contacted hp they said the same thing they never tested anything past 2gb. the card works it reads it i installed all my stuff on it. but when i put my songs on there they wont play. but the thing that really sucks is i cant save files onto it. i did format it using a pc and fat32. this is the 3rd time this happened the first time i thought of well maybe it has a different format so i formatted it then soon as i hit 300mb it does this so i formatted it using a laptop and card reader same thing 300mb and i cant transfer files from internal memory to sd cant play songs or movies from sd windows media player says the files are corrupted and tcpmp just doesnt play them. the brand is my flash i guess its a crappy card? if i try to copy all my files from my sd card to my comp using active sync it says some stupid file cant transfer and its the same file no matter what i transfer its mxed or something i believe its a .dll file i dont know its not in the folder so i dont know why its trying to copy it. im getting frustrated with this thing. thanks for the help so far though.

well i was close lol. this is what it says.

Cannot copy dxemsdos.5:cannot find the specified file.
make sure you specify the correct path and filename.

why does it keep trying to copy this? i dont have this file in any of my folders. no matter what folder i try to copy it says this.

Did this error happen when you use card reader to copy files instead of activesync? As mentioned before, you won't be able to use activesync to copy large amount of files.

no i dont get the error when using my card reader. i was trying to copy files from my ipaq to my laptop using active sync and i got that error so im goin to use my laptops card reader then maybe try to partition it. the only software i found for partitioning them was for wm5 unless pocket mechanic will allow me to partition it. would i be able to us a pc program while its in my card reader to partition it. like paritition magic or something?

I don't think partitioning the drive will eliminate the problem as long as you are using activesync to copy files. Activesync always have problem copying large files no matter what.
