Read Chinese SMS

I am using English ROM with CJKOS installed. However, I cannot read the Chinese characters in SMS sent by my friends, and they cannot read my Chinese SMS in their normal Nokia or SEricson handfones, too.

What should I do in order to solve the problem mentioned?
