Why cab files are deleted after installation in pocket pc?

Hi,

If i install a cab file in my pocket pc, the file is automatically deleted after installation is completed or if the installation is cancelled. Why it is happening?
I am using Windows mobile 6 and ActiveSync 4.5.
Does this occur because of the version of windows mobile (5 or 6). Is there any settings for this? please replay.

This has always been the default behavior with WM, I assume to conserve precious memory area when devices depended on on-board RAM for both program execution and storage. Several tweaking apps (such as Tweaks2k2) and on-device cab install managers (such as Cabinstl) let you change this so that cab files aren't automatically deleted as part of the post-install clean-up.

Because cab file is not read only. Lets change the properties :)

I always thought that they got deleted for security issues? I guess now I know the real reason.
