I need some help from experts. I'm trying to dial in and check emails using my Clie T615C and a PC modem and also using my cell phone. I've checked all the posting on this site and tried to follow the instructions but keep getting "error: modem not found (0x1106)" in both cases.
Can anyone tell me where I'm going wrong - I've listed the details below for both PC Modem and Cell phone. I'd be greatful for any help. Thanks.-
>PC Modem:
I'm using a standard 56k external modem connected to my Clie using a serial cable. I know that both the modem and the cable work because I use the modem on my PC, and the serial cable to hotsync the Clie with the PC, both successfully.
The settings on my clie are:
Connection Prefs: Connect to Modem via cradle/cable with touchtone dialing, 57600k speed, automatic flow control, and init string AT&F&C1&D2S7=50 (this is the same init string my PC uses to dial in with this same modem).
Network Prefs: details for my ISP
>Cell phone
I'm using a nokia 6210 with infrared connection.
Connection Prefs: Connect to modem via infrared with touchtone dialing, although I don't know what to set for the Speed, Flow Control and Init String (i'm trying 9600k, automatic flow control and no init string)
