Upgradation from palm 3.0.2 to 3.5 or above

Hi all,
I have SPT 1500 and System v.3.0.2r3
I want to upgrade it to 3.5 or later versions.
Can anybody please tell me where I can find the upgrades?
Are they free? Please give me relavent links.

You can upgrade to PalmOS 3.3 for free: http://www.palm.com/support/33upgrade/33_legal_eng.html

You get better IR function with 3.3. I did it on a PalmPro w/ III upgrade card. It works fine. Remember to use fairly new batteries. It used 15% of battery life to do it.

You will have to backup everything because everything gets wiped during the upgrade.

You can update to 4.1 for a fee at Palm.com That adds VFS functionality if you have a CF or SD card slot.

In that link there are two versions available

1. For palm III Hand Held
2. For Palm IIIx Hand held

I downloaded both of them and tried to install.
First I tried the first one. After unpacking and running it asked to restart the Palm top (SPT 1500).
After that nothing happened . I waited for about 20 min.

After wards for the second download also I got the same result.

Please let me know where I went wrong.

The version for III worked for me. Maybe they don't like Symbol units. Try contacting Symbol:
