I have recently acquired a palm pilot m515, and I was curious as to if someone could explain to me what all would be involved if I would get a modem for it? Would I have to subscribe to an additional ISP for the Palm device only? How does that all work? If I have DSL what extras would I have to do? Would it work if I get a wireless connection on the DSL or is it totally
different? I would love to be able to access my email and stuff while out of
the office. Can someone explain to me how that would work with a palm device and a palm modem? Thought about getting a blackberry, but this was
practically given to me so before I spend the $$ for a BB I want to fully
research what I can do with what I already have? All help is appreciated.
BTW, I really do not want to have to spend anymore money on newer stuff if I can use what I have

Thanks all

If you already have an ISP that has dial-up access, you can enter the settings (user name, password, phone number, etc.) into the Network preferences of the m515, and enter your modem information in the Connection preferences. The only way you're going to be able to use a WiFi connection is by using a WiFi portfolio or sled that attaches to the m515.

You can "tether" a cellphone to the m515 via infrared or cable, if your phone carrier supports tethering and data calls.
