I've just started using Devicescape on my E61, and it's already a great help.
It's software that automates logging on to a WiFi access point, whether it's a private one, a public hotspot or a pay-for hotspot. Now, if I'm in reach of a hotspot I've got access rights for, I don't have to go through the tedious process of opening the web browser and typing in my details first, before I can log on to my email - the phone does it for me.
You do have to enter all your wireless networks and user info on the Devicescape website, but then the software on your mobile device uses the DNS channel to automatically pull down the info it needs to log in. It sounds a bit wierd but it really is transparent!
I'm using it on Series 60 but there's other versions too - though sadly not one for Palm (yet?? Pretty please.... :-)
