hi, i dont owe any PDA phone.. just want to know only.. btw, is it every model of PDA phone have their own sofware?? example, HTC Touch and HTC TyTN are using the different software for view chinese characters.. how about HTC and O2?? same software??

Different device makers add their own software to the core OS from Microsoft to get the best performance from their specific hardware components. Then on top of that, different carriers will add more software that is tied specifically to their network and services. The software added is often very specific and so it cannot simply be installed on a different make and model device or used on a different carrier's network.

wowow, its looks totally different with smartphone.. but how if i did install a wrong software? will it damage the phone?

Typically if the softwares are not made for your device the installer just won't install it.
