I'm in the same boat. I'm based in ireland and the cheapest I can find in any retail shop is around 650 euros.
Have you looked at ebay.co.uk. There are tungstens for sale there for around 300 pounds.
Has anyone tried this?

Thanks for your reply. Yes- I did check ebay- I may end up buying one there... The ones I saw that were £300 were american based- they were only £30 ($45) for shipping and insurance from USA so I figured if the guy selling them was posting for £30 that big companies should be able to do the same- if you consider that some places are selling for $400 £260 and if you add £30 shipping that's only £290 including shipping.
Let me know how you get on- Dixons (I don't know if you have them in Ireland) are selling for £349 on their website and if you use the promotion code XMAS20 then you get £20 off when you buy it equalling £329 for a new tungsten (www.dixons.co.uk)
Let me know how you get on-

I just saw Palm TT at costco today for only $469 cheaper than the $499 retail elsewhere. If you can wait for shipping, you might get it cheaper online, check Techbargains (http://www.techbargains.com) to find the lowest price. I think they have one of the best price comparison.

Who wouldn't want to own a beautiful TT? But I'm thinking. It costs US$522 equivalent where I live compared with US$322 for an m515. Both will last only two years. The difference, if you reckon by cost per day of use, isn't paltry.

Stardust- Where do you live then and what does paltry mean?! The price where I live is us$ equivalent of $525 too. Do you live in england as well then???????

I'm from Manila. I used "paltry" to mean petty or insignificant.

Dear iiicRules
you are right, Dixons web price is: Sale price £349.00
was £399.00. I looked at the shop price and that was £369, which is only £30 off, the web price saves £50. I am going to have a look in Tottenham Court Road and see if one of the shops will drop the Vat, that will save £69.85,which makes the TT £329, that's better.
