Revo and IMAP mail

The "Advanced E-mail settings" of the Help files state that the POP3 or IMAP4 port number may require setting.

This implies that the built in e-mail application will work for IMAP mail accounts.

Is this true and if so how?

The options when you create a new account only seem to refer to POP3 server.

I have a compuserve IMAP account which I access fine with Outlook Express on my PC.

You need the IMAP update produced for the Mako (works fine on my revo+).

Why psion never released it officially for the revo I don't know

The "Advanced E-mail settings" of the Help files state that the POP3 or IMAP4 port number may require setting. Yes, but unfortunately Psion refused to release the IMAP4 plug-in written by Symbian because, I understand, they were not satisfied with the quality of the software.

It was released for the Diamond Mako and their copy of the .SIS file can be installed in the Revo and 5mx. Download it from the "Series 5" page of my website.
