Windows Mobile Upgradation

Hi All,

I have HTC P3450 device which has Windows Mobile 6.0 Professional.
Can I install or upgrade(?) it to Windows Mobile 5.0 Pocket PC Phone Edition.

And I also want to ask that if windows mobile 5.0 device is upgraded to windows mobile 6 . Is it possible to go back to windows mobile 5.0?

Please help me in this.

No, you cannot downgrade the original operating system. WM 6.0 Pro is an upgrade from WM 5.0 phone ed. WM 6.0 Pro is the same as WM 6.0 Phone edition.

Yes, usually the manufacturers provide utility to uninstall the upgrade and restore the original operating system.

If this upgrade and then back to original OS is manufacturer dependent then would you suggest me some devices of WM 5.0 on which this upgrade and then back to original OS can be done.

It's manufacturer dependent. WM operating system upgrades come from manufacturer of the pda not Microsoft.

As for the models, that depends on your budget and for what purpose you want to use it. Many of wm 5.0 phone models receive wm6 upgrade directly from the mobile company. Check web site of cellular company of your choice for more information.
