I am considering subscribing to Thunderhawk. I would appreciate feedback from anyone using this browser (wire or wireless). I've seen very mixed reviews - one says it's a "killer app," the other "don't install it - too buggy."

Thanks!

I am. It's great (though I would not browse my bank's web site with it). It basically acts as a proxy server.

It makes browsing a lot easier than using PIE; most of the page is clearly visible (about 75% of the page width) and it can sometimes display pages that PIE will not. Page downloads are faster, too. I would recommend it.

The presentation of web pages in a way that is easy and enjoyable to view is worth the annual free.

BTW, I'm using version 1.04.

If I load Thunderhawk, do I lose the ability to access the web using IE and my current ISP? For that matter, do I still use my current ISP with Thunderhawk?

Thanks!

No, it's a complete separate application whose only function is to connect to the Thunderhawk server. You cannot view local content using this utility; all pages must be accessible by the Thunderhawk server. I use both; when the "fit to screen" function just doesn't work, I switch to the Thunderhawk browser. So, since I installed it a couple of weeks ago I've probably used both PIE and TH equally. I carry a log of documentation in html format; it's really a shame I cannot use TH to view it as there would be a lot less page scrolling to access the same information. Plus the font used by TH (Frutiger Linotype???) is very easy to read.

I know this is an old thread, thought I would re instate.

Have been using Thunderhawk for a while and rate it highly, agree it would be good to browse internal pages, but its just not that type of app.

Have had no problems other than system can hang if internet connectivity lost. Have used it wireless (wifi and BT/gprs phone) and in cradle - have seen no real difference in performance and function.
