I don't have access to a mail server - is there any software package that would sync my RIM with my laptop - including mail and address book?

There are two versions of the 95x Blackberries; the Enterprise Edition, which requires a back end mail server (Notes or Exchange) and an Internet version, which an ISP to provide the e mail services. If you have an Enterprise version, you must have a back end Exchange or Notes server.

There are other older threads in this forum which discuss Internet Edition (I've only used Enterprise edition).

Who did you buy the 957 from?

I really appreciate your help here. I bought the internet edition through Earthlink. I'll also look for the older threads. Thanks again.

the desktop manager software which is included with every BlackBerry for free does what you are looking for. You don't need a mail server, but your Outlook must be installed as Corporate/Workgroup, or be Outlook XP.
