Hi everyone,
My wife has an original Palm Pilot Personal and I have a Palm Zire 21. We realise now that after many years of faithful service that we need to replace these old workhorses. We would like to buy 2 identical new replacement 'Palms'.
Our criteria is that we must be able to load in data from the existing database on our PC to each new Palm - essential (I guess that means we have to be able to export it some how?) We are happy to use the basic functions in the 'Palm' and I would not anticpate that we would need anything very sophicated, I can't see we would need to load 3rd party programmes etc but I appreciate most modern Palms probably have this by default anyway. Basically we just need Notepad, address, diary etc - as per the original Palm Pilot Personal. Battery life on a day to day basis is important and we would prefer to have Palms that require less recharging that one that does - ie, we'd be happy with a less sophisticated display that was not power hungry and a longer charging interval.
We have been very happy with our 'Palms' - I hope we can get some suitable recommendations from users here who will be more familiar with the latest product than us. Kind regards, yt.
