Ok, beating a dead horse here, I'm sure.

But seeing as how many of the websites with these are either nonexistant or in disrepair, I was hoping someone here might have a little insight as to running linux on a pv-5000. I know it's probably a longshot, But that's what i do. I had gotten this thing years ago and stopped using it after fixing it (actually have two of them now), and would like to renew it with linux (and wireless card) to use as an "internet appliance".

Basically, if there is nothing packaged, I can do the work to recompile the kernel etc, what bootloaders will work? linexec? lince? I know haret doesn't.

Check the site "hpcfactor.com" for info on running Linux on Windows CE devices. You will need to go to the Forums section, then to the technical support subforum titled "H/PC Linux/Unix".
I've run a DOS emulator and several DOS programs (and even Windows version 1, very basic compared to Windows 3.11) on my PV-5000. Haven't tried Linux.
