I just got an M500 and am having difficulting setting up my connection to my Samsung Q105. I got the cable to link the two ($50 ouch). I loaded SMS... I go to send a message and get an error message: Invalid settings or no configuarion selected.... I clidk settings and then Connection and get the following error:

There are currenlty no phone drivers installed on your handheld.

I cannot find drivers for this phone anywhere? Only driver for laptops, not PDA???

I was told by my phone carrier that I did not need a driver if all I was doing was sending text messages...

Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Tim

one should indeed be able to send sms without a driver (worked for me though i used IR) so you might want to consider trying other apps (i'v used 4 -dunno the names anymore, very bad in remembering such thing- and only 3 worked). if you do need a driver search at palm.com i found my S35i driver there.

You don't need drivers, you need the script. This is a GSM phone used by Voicestrem. If you buy the cable from Supplynet they include the instructions needed.

I had the same problem with my 7650. I checked the preferences in my m515, and there are really no phone drivers. When using "SMS" on my m515, I could not set it up because of this. I checked the wireless section of www.Palm.com, and there are no phone drivers for my model. Does anyone know where to get the 7650 phone driver for m500's?

currently using GSMTool, and it works great (i didnt need drivers for this indeed, used 'm for my internet connection). a few others are found here:

though there probably are a lot more available. If, like me you cannot find GSMTool anymore (like me), i've still got it in my strorage.

Finally, a reply! Thanks.

But, like you I cannot access that page. Is it possible to send it to me at buddy.moran@pacific.net.ph.

Thanks.
