Nokia N70

Hi

I am looking to upgrade my aged Nokia 7610 to a less aged Nokia N70. I read a few reviews and I am impressed with this handset. I have a few questions that none of the reviews have answered.

1) How well does the PC Sync work using Nokia PC suite? Can it be setup so that the unit syncs automatically when connected to the PC?

2) How easy is it to find information once entered in either Calendar, Contacts or Notes? Is there is an option (built-in or add-on) to search for information in all PIMS?

3) How about essensial apps? Can any of you recommend any?

1) It works OK here most of the time. Occasionally it loses sight of the USB connection to the phone, but plugging it into a different USB port usually fixes that. If it doesn't, a reboot fixes it.

And yes, it can sync on connection, or periodically (eg. every 15 minutes) while the phone is connected. It's in PC Sync's Advanced Settings - click the spanner on the PC Sync panel, then the adjustable spanner (yes, really...) on the Settings panel.

2) On the phone, you mean? It's not that good as standard, but it's a whole lot better if you install...

3) ...T9nav - this is a brilliant little utility that lets you type a search string using predictive text, and having previously indexed the phone's contents, it then lists all the possible matches to your search string.

Trouble is, it needs S60 3rd edition, and the N70 is only S60 2nd edition. Can you get a newer phone than the N70??

Another thing... Does anybody know of a program that can backup to MMC card at regular intervals?
