Ok - I just got my new toy. I like it much more than the iPAQ 3670 or the Sony Clie I had. However I do use a 1GB microdrive and other type 1 and 2 cf cards interchangeably. The Axim is missing a very important feature, which is on the iPAQ expansion packs as well as other PDA's such as the Toshiba e740, that is a CF card ejection lever.

The Axim has a nice little cutout area so you can lift the cards out of the slot by a lip on the card itself. Microdrives do not have such a lip, I would appreciate anyone’s idea on how to remove the microdrive without damaging the device or the card.

Other than that I really like the Axim. It is not as bulky as may people have claimed. If anyone has used an iPAQ with an expansion pack plus (extra battery) this unit is tiny and also much lighter. In addition it has a jog dial that I missed greatly from my days with a clie.

Thanks in advance for anyone’s input with the microdrive issue.

Maybe a cut to size piece of screen protector adhered to the top of the microdrive left slightly protruding out from top would give a hand in removal. If trimmed properly could fold excess over the end on the microdrive, then peel up the portion to pull on when removing the microdrive.
A thin adheasive folder tab (like for sheet protectors) might work also but would have to stick out of the top.
