I have a movie that is pretty large, 135 mb. How do I cut down the size of that file? Is there a specific program I must use?

I managed to cut a simpsons episode down from around 120megs to 40.. and quality was definately decent. Grab media encoder 7, as version 8 (or 9 whatever's the newest) uses windows video codec 9, which my ipaq woudn't play. media encoder 7 uses both version 8 of audio and video ,and played perfectly on my ipaq (ordering my axim within the next week which is why i'm trollin around on this forum. note that media encoder will convert to .wmv format. if you wanna stick with mpeg, tmpgenc would do it for you, howver media encoder is pretty easy and straightforward to use (not to mention fast). it's free on M$ site reggie 12-13-2002, 10:23 AM I like the end result using Divx 5.02 and the PocketDivx player. There is a good encoding guide here: http://www.pocketmatrix.com/guides/dvd2divx/ http://groups.yahoo.com/group/DellAxim/ PDA Street
