I just got a revo today from ebay, mint condition. Its been charging for about three hours now but I can't turn it on! The only sign that it is functioning is a green indicator light. Does it need to charge more or is it broken?

Keep charging for up to 24 hours and leave the unit off.

Phrontist, first of all, have you tried a "soft" reset? (By pressing with a sharp thing a hole marked 1 on a rear panel of your Revo) Usually it helps. Soft reset will keep all your data (or at least most of that).

If after 5-6 hours of charging soft reset takes no effect, I think, the only way is to perform a "hard" reset by pressing both holes marked 1 and 2 at the same time and then pressing ESC key twice. All stored data will be lost, but it doesn't matter for you, because you have no data yet. :)

if i had known what i know now about revos and makos i would performa hard reset before i made any changes to the achine unless of course it sadi it came with extra software. turning the makom on should not be a problem,in terms of battery power, if the ac power is connect. the revo will run on ac power as well as charging the batteries. try turning it on with thge ac cord attached tehn see what happens.
cheers and best of luck

Makoman is right. In theory the Mako should turn on at all times when the external power supply is connected. It makes sense to do either a soft or hard reset. You might also consider adjusting the screen contrast to be certain that it is not turned down completely [FN+"M" (-) / FN+"." (+)]

Enjoy the machine.

that may well be the problem. but it will be reverted to the default setting (5 i think) and should be visible. hey try both!
