Dear All,

I have a HP iPAQ hx2400 series PDA with 64MB RAM.

I've tried to open a big file (14MB) and I obviously got a "low memory" error! So, I was not able to open the file unfortunately.

I would like to ask you therefore, if it is possible to upgrade, or maybe add more RAM memory. Do you think I could use a Compact Flash adapter of either type to add a PC RAM card on my PDA, increasing in that way its RAM memory to open that file? Is that even possible?

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thank you.

Best,

Fotis

1st thing to try is to soft reset the iPAQ and see if that can help.
You can also try uninstall unused programs and empty cache and temp folders.
There are 3rd party software such as MemMaid and SKTools that will clean and optimize memory for you.
And if you need to add RAM then

Thanks for your reply!

I know this is a silly question with no immediate answer, but, would you say that if I upgraded my memory to 128MB, most probably, it would be able to open a file of 14MB size?

Please let me know!

Thank you again.

Have you tried the other steps suggested? And what type of file is this?
