Avantogo Beta for Palm OS5

I just downloaded the Beta version. I had been awaiting automatic notification from Avantgo. Several problems were encountered: Fonts on some channels unreadable, fine on others...I don't see a "Font Size" adjust as in previous versions; my TT froze after my first sync with my exisisting Avantgo account. I removed it from my TT and reinstalled...sames probs. I responded to Avantgo's feedback link to inform them. I've been eager to use Avantgo on my TT....glad they're working on it for us, but I would have loved for it to work perfectly, ofcourse, the first time around. I guess I'll have to learn a little patience. But then if I had patience, I could have waited for more consumer feedback on the TT before going out and buyinfg one....not that I'm not completely pleased with my newest "gadget". Anyway, go to the Avantgo site and try it out for yourself, if you'd like.

I'm also very eager for AvantGo to work on the TT; I used it quite a bit on my m505, especially for movie times (and occasionally for movie reviews too). But some beta software is just more beta than other beta software. Not terribly surprising, but not terribly useful either. I think I'll avoid this particular beta for now. Your experience sounds like they're still at the stage of very beta software. Bummer. More waiting.... :( Thanx for the warning, saves me the pain this time.

Of course, as you pointed out, this is the price we pay for being at the "bleeding edge" of devices! But, I'll take it -- at least this time. My TT does *so much* so well and so fast and so prettily!
