I am trying to synch my IPAQ with my PC via a wireless network and it would appear that I need to know the computers IP address.

How do I work out what the IP Address of my laptop at home is? I believe that I can enter "ipconfig" at the command prompt to find out but how do you get a command prompt in Windows XP?

Can anybody help?

Thanks.

- Go to Start > Run. Type cmd (short for "command") into the Run window, then hit enter.
- The Command Prompt window will open.
- To check the IP address, type, ipconfig and hit enter.
- To check the IP address, along with the hardware address, and advanced info, type, ipconfig/all , hit enter.
