I searched the forums to see if someone has done this before. Couldn't findt it though.
How can I power my Series 7 in my car?
The battery says it's 10.8V. The mains adapter tells me it should be giving 15V.
I haven't measured it yet.
Can I just make a cable from my cigarette lighter and stick the 12-13V car voltage in my Series 7 ?
Anyone done this before ?
regards,
Victor

I have no experience with this item or vendor (just found this with a google search, but I knew I had seen it somewhere). Proporta sells a car power adapter. Details at http://www.proporta.com/detail.asp?id=286&Curr=USD
I hope that works for you :)
Whilst you could in theory plug the Psion directly into to cigarette lighter socket, I'd be concerned about fluctuations in the voltage. Looking at the picture at that link, it looks to me like there is some additional circuitry, perhaps to smooth the voltage.

Here's another link to a source of supply for the S7 in-car power adapter:

Clove are in the UK, but I know they do ship internationally at reasonable cost, and I've always been happy with their services.
I'm thinking of ordering one of these too - I personally wouldn't want to risk a DIY solution with my netBook! :)

This is a very reasonably priced unit. I work for CPC plc and we carry many suitable items for powering laptops, PDAs etc, but could not come close to that price. Although not wishing to advertise, comparison searches could be made from www.cpc.co.uk
